Zoya Flair

*Press Sample*

Hello! I have the Zoya Flair collection to show you today.  This is the metallic half of the Fall 2015 offering.  I hardcore love metallics so I'm super excited for this one.  I'm going to dive right in, starting with Tris.  Zoya describes Tris as a blackened, brushed nickel.  It pulls a little on the brownish side on me.  Either way it's a really cool polish, perfect for fall.  I used two coats and top coat.

This is Zoya Aggie.  In the bottle there was a color shift that I just couldn't get to show on the nail.  This is the only polish that needed three coats to be opaque.

Zoya Cinnamon is a gorgeous metallic brown.  I'm not a huge brown fan but this one has a bronze leaning that makes is so pretty.  This is two coats and top coat.

Zoya Giada is my favorite from this half of the fall collections.  This purple is just everything.  So gorgeous and perfect in two coats.

Zoya Estelle is my second favorite.  This blue is just perfect.  Totally opaque in two coats and no staining issues to report.

Zoya Ember is just so glow-y.  I love this one too.  This is two coats and top coat.

Overall I'm really enjoying this collection for fall.  Now if we could just get some fall temps here in the desert.  Other than Aggie that was a little sheerer than the others, the formulas were fantastic.  These are available now on zoya.com.  Be sure to like them on facebook to stay up to date on all the latest info.

I will be back soon with the cream half of this collection.  Until next time...

A Rica Pairing

Hey all!  Today I have a fun combo featuring Rica polishes.  I started with a base of Rica Oh Gnomie, You Didn't and then added a layer of Rica If These Narwhals Could Talk.  Gnomie has a great formula.  It applied easy and had the perfect consistency.  Narwhals was a bit trickier.  I had to put on a coat and then dab on a bit more as it was a bit sparse at one coat.

Gnomie came from the July GNOME box that is a collaboration between Rica and Stardust polish.  Sometimes I really enjoy wearing a nice soft colored mani.  Thanks for stopping by!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Combo

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Might Not Recover

Hey guys!  How is everyone today?  I have a quickie post today showing off one of my favorite manis lately.  I showed this off on facebook the other day but I thought it still deserved it's own post.  I started out with Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hypothermia as my base color.  Then I added one coat of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Might Not Recover on top.  The result is the crazy, sparkly mani.

I loved this combo so much that I put it on my toes yesterday.  Mr. MLiP walked by and said it looked like I had bruises on my toes.  Pffft...What the heck does he know?

Have a great day!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Review

*Press Sample*

Hey all!  I have an overdue post for you today showing off some of the new colors from the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line.  Miracle Gel is a two step process.  Apply two coats of polish and then the Miracle Gel top coat. Natural light takes care of the curing process and they claim the mani can last up to 14 days.  I've not done a good wear test on these in a while but they do hold up well for the few days I wear them.  So lets dive right in shall we?

This is two coats of Beatnik with top coat.  This polish has the best formula and application.  It went on smooth and it's just so pretty.

The next two polishes only have one photo each as it was overcast the day I did these.  Rhythm & Blue is a happy bright blue.  The formula was really good on this one as well.  I used two coats and top coat for photos.

This gorgeous dark, vampy purple is Boho a-go-go.  This was good to go in one coat but I used two so I could wrap my tips and wear it for a few days.

I combined the next two polishes into one mani because they are perfect for each other.  Fish-teal Braid is the most gorgeous teal.  Completely perfect in one coat.  The coral glitter is Miss Wanderlust and I used two coats for this one.

I have to say these polishes have a way better formula than Miracle Gel polishes I've reviewed in the past.  I really was impressed when I was putting them on.  These are available now.  Check out Sally Hansen's website and facebook page for more info.

Until next time...

SinfulColors Back to School Review

*Press Sample*

Hey guys!  It's been a while.  My laptop died on me and had to be sent out for repair.  Luckily it was covered under a recall and didn't cost me anything to fix!  Today's post is a review of 10 shades from the SinfulColors Back to School collection.  I'm going to start off with a quick plastic wrap mani I did with four of the polishes.  The base is Summer S-Cool and I used Chalk It Up, Truth or Lavendare and Hazed dabbed on top.

So lets jump right in.  Chalk It Up has a demi-matte finish.  This is two coats.  It was pretty even when applied.

Truth or Lavendare is a fun light purple with the demi-matte finish.  I used two coats.  This on didn't apply quiet as smooth as Chalk It Up but it was still decent.

Hazed has the semi-matte finish as well but the formula was different than the others.  This is three coats but it was very smooth when applied.

Ice Blue is a great sparkly color.  It started out a bit sheer but built up well with three coats.

Blue Sensation is a favorite of mine.  This is two coats.  The application was fantastic.  It dries down to a soft matte finish.  I did not use top coat for these photos.

Burst of Flair is a metallic yellow.  I used three coats and you can still see my nail lines.  I think this would work better layered over similar cream color.

Fig is total gorgeousness in a bottle.  I was convinced I wouldn't like it but color me shocked!  Once I had it on I didn't want to take it off.  This is two coats and top coat.

Night Owl is a glitter topper.  I used one coat over Fig.  I think it looks pretty good.

Summer S-Cool is my other favorite from the collection.  This is two coats.  I'm loving this bright blue.

Late Night Haute is another glitter topper.  I used one coat over Summer S-cool.

So there you have it.  Any favorites jump out at you?  I recommend Fig, Blue Sensation and Summer S-cool.  These are available now.  I've seen the displays at a few different Walgreens around here.

Until next time...
